TerraBeth Jochems’ lifework revolves around giving help, hope and honor to people of all ages who struggle with reading and writing. She earned her BA in secondary education of liberal arts and a certificate in reading K-12 from Eastern Montana College in 1982, taught literacy for 25 years in the Billings Public Schools system, founded a community-wide reading club called One Book Billings, and serves on the Montana State Reading Council. Diagnosed with dyslexia at an early age, TerraBeth knows the heartbreak and frustration children with reading difficulties may face in their everyday lives. Therefore, she has teamed up with the Better Billings Foundation and Harvest Church to create a literacy ministry called 3 H Tutoring. Her vision is that this ministry will grow in numbers and resources to meet the literacy needs of families in our community as they work to reverse the negative effects caused by reading difficulties. This ministry is an answer to many prayers, including TerraBeth’s.
