who is eligible?

BBF Achiever Scholarships are available to Oasis employees who have worked at Oasis or for the Better Billings Foundation at least one season and are currently employed by Oasis or the Better Billings Foundation.

what is awarded?

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two or four-year college or technical institution.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled and in good standing in a two or four-year accredited college/university or technical program.

what does it take?

  • Ambition and drive

  • Respect for self, peers, and the community

  • Determination to overcome challenges and reach goals

  • Resolve to succeed in college or technical school

* Because BBF is commitment to the betterment of Billings, special consideration is given to achievements that empower others and service in volunteerism and assistance to others. *

Applicant requirements?

  • Applicant needs to commit to working for Oasis or BBF the season after scholarship award

  •  Applicant needs to have a GPA of 3.0 or better based on a 4.0 standard

  •  Applicant needs to present 2 letters of recommendation

  •  Applicant needs to present around a 500 word essay answering one of the following:

    •  What is the greatest need in society today and how do you intend to change it?

    •  Explain the importance of (your major or field of study) in today’s society.

    •  Pick a controversial problem on college campuses and suggest a solution.

    •  How has your family background affected the way you see the world?

who determines the awardees?

Applications will be reviewed by the BBF Board of Directors or a scholarship committee appointed by the Board. 

2024 BBF Achiever Scholarship Application

Applications will be accepted beginning March 1, 2024. Deadline for academic year 2024 - 2025 consideration is July 15, 2024.
